June 2nd

Day 1 Plan:

Upon arrival at Ljubljana Airport or Ljubljana city center, we'll arrange transportation to the Pokljuka Plateau Farmhouse, aiming to arrive by 4 pm.

4 pm - Arrival at Pokljuka Plateau Farmhouse

We'll be welcomed with coffee and snacks upon arrival at the farmhouse.

After settling in and unpacking, we'll have time to familiarize ourselves with the house and its surroundings.

6.30 pm - First Ride of the Trip (Around Pokljuka Plateau, 30km):

At 6.30 pm, we'll embark on our first ride of the trip, exploring the picturesque Pokljuka Plateau over a scenic 30km route.

9pm - Dinner

Following our ride, we'll gather for a well-deserved dinner at the farmhouse, enjoying a delicious meal prepared with local ingredients, accompanied by stories and plans for the exciting days ahead.


June 3rd

Day 2: Café Ride & Lake Bohinj Escape

The day begins with 8:00 am breakfast, followed by a 9:00 am team briefing to ease into our adventure.

At 9:30 am, we roll out for a leisurely café ride, descending towards Lake Bled. This relaxed spin allows us to soak in the scenic beauty and peaceful ambiance of the region as we make our way to our first stop.

By 12:00 pm, we reach our coffee stop along the cycling lane between Lake Bled and Lake Bohinj. Here, we pause to enjoy a well-earned coffee break before diving into the pristine waters of Lake Bohinj for a refreshing swim and relaxation.

At 4:00 pm, we begin our return ride to the Pokljuka Plateau Farmhouse, with the only climb of the day leading us back home.

By 5:00 pm, we unwind with a Gong Bath session, guided by our host instructor Terry. This rejuvenating experience focuses on stretching, relaxation, and mindfulness, helping us recover and recharge.

The evening wraps up with a 7:00 pm Slovenian dinner, where we come together at the farmhouse to share stories and enjoy a delicious, locally inspired meal.


June 4th

Day 3: Karavanke Loop & Bled Castle Finale

We start the day with 8:00 am breakfast, followed by a 9:00 am team briefing to set the stage for another epic ride.

At 9:30 am, we roll out for the Karavanke Visit Loop, a breathtaking route featuring:

  • Lake Bled – A scenic warm-up along its iconic shores.

  • Jamnik – A ridge climb offering panoramic alpine views.

  • Bohinj Valley – A peaceful ride through lush meadows and crystal-clear waters.

  • Pokljuka Plateau – A rewarding ascent before the descent back towards Bled.

By 3:00 pm, we break for lunch, enjoying a relaxed meal in a picturesque alpine setting.

At 5:00 pm, we tackle the final challenge, a short but steep 1km climb to Bled Castle, where stunning views of the lake await. After soaking in the scenery, we cool off with a refreshing swim in Lake Bled.

The day concludes with an 8:00 pm dinner at the farmhouse, where we’ll share stories and highlights from an unforgettable day on the bike.


June 5th

Day 4: Rest & Recovery on the Pokljuka Plateau

After three days of riding through the stunning Julian Alps, Day 4 is dedicated to rest and recovery on the serene Pokljuka Plateau. We’ll start the morning with a gentle yoga session, stretching out tired muscles in the crisp mountain air.

Then, a relaxed hike will take us through the plateau’s evergreen forests and rolling meadows, offering breathtaking views and a chance to reconnect with nature.

The afternoon is all about unwinding—whether it’s sipping coffee at a cozy mountain hut, enjoying a lakeside moment, or simply soaking in the peaceful alpine atmosphere. A well-earned pause before we take on the next stage of the adventure.


June 6th

Day 5: The Queen Stage – Vršič Pass & Mangart Road

The most demanding and exhilarating day of our journey begins with a 7:00 am breakfast, followed by an 8:00 am team briefing to prepare for the challenge ahead.

At 8:30 am, we roll out for the queen stage, starting with the legendary Vršič Pass (1,611m)—Slovenia’s highest mountain pass. This epic climb, featuring 24 cobbled hairpin turns, will test our endurance while rewarding us with breathtaking alpine views.

By 1:00 pm, we take a well-earned lunch break, refueling for the second monumental climb of the day.

At 2:00 pm, we continue towards Mangart Road (2,072m), the highest paved road in Slovenia. This spectacular ascent delivers awe-inspiring scenery and an unforgettable high-mountain riding experience.

To close out the day, we descend to Lake Jasna for a refreshing swim at 6:00 pm, revitalizing our bodies after conquering the queen stage. Our bikes will be transported back to the farmhouse while we unwind with ApresVelo time in Kranjska Gora.

The evening concludes with an 8:00 pm dinner, where we’ll share stories, celebrate our achievements, and enjoy a well-deserved meal together.


June 7th

Day 6: The Bohinj Loop & Waterfall Savica Finale

After breakfast and our daily team briefing, we roll out on a spectacular ride through Slovenia’s alpine landscapes. The day begins with a scenic route around Lake Bohinj, surrounded by towering peaks and pristine waters. From there, we take on the climb to Vogar, where breathtaking panoramic views of Lake Bohinj reward our efforts.

Continuing the adventure, we descend toward Waterfall Savica, one of Slovenia’s most stunning natural landmarks, where we pause to take in the vibrant turquoise waters. After soaking in the scenery, we saddle up for the final stretch back to Pokljuka, closing out an unforgettable day on the bike.

To recover from the day's climbs, we’ll wind down with a Gong Bath Meditation led by our host instructor, Terry—an immersive sound healing experience to help us reset and recharge. The evening concludes with ApresVelo cocktails and a celebratory dinner at the farmhouse, sharing stories and toasting to an epic week of riding through Slovenia.


June 8th

Day 7: Farewell & Final Ride Option

We begin the final day with a 9:00 am breakfast, followed by a 10:00 am team debriefing, reflecting on the week’s unforgettable journey through Slovenia.

At 1:00 pm, we head to Lake Bled, offering a last chance to soak in its serene beauty before departure.

By 5:00 pm, transfers to Ljubljana Airport will be arranged. For those wanting one last ride, an optional cycling route to the airport will be available, with your belongings transported separately for convenience.
